WHAT IS IT ABOUT FOOD THAT LINKS US?

We are bound by our shared need for true nourishment. Real food has the power to eclipse language barriers, build community and tradition, spark memories, and support the body’s instinctive ability to heal…and thrive.
My Story
My name is Jacqui Gabel.

I’m a trained Natural Food Chef and Nutrition Therapist based in Denver, Colorado. My passions for travel, food and human connection have led me to kitchens throughout the U.S., South America, and Asia. I’ve gathered experiences and knowledge by spending time with home cooks, avid eaters, and professional chefs in these places. Over the past several years, I’ve studied nutrition science in order to understand and apply the benefits of cooking with whole foods.

Cooking and eating are symbolic gestures. With each bite, we have the opportunity to either support or discourage the body’s desire to not only keep us alive, but to keep us feeling vibrantly well. Vivid health is your birthright. I want you to feel empowered to nourish yourself and the people you love with the Real Food we all innately Desire.
More about my professional background: I studied business management and hospitality in college. The following four years after that, I lived and worked in fashion merchandising in New York City before deciding I wanted a job and a life that allowed me to cook and share the multifaceted impact of food. Several years later, after traveling and living abroad, I completed prerequisite courses for a Masters in Dietetics program. Ultimately, I decided to pursue Cooking for Optimal Wellness and Nutrition Science at Nutrition Therapy Institute in Denver, Colorado.

I’ve interned with the  The Littleton Clinic, where patients can participate in the ReCode Protocol to address cognitive decline through lifestyle modifications, supplementation and nutrition. I also teach classes and create content and recipes for a local kids’ cooking company called Sticky Fingers Cooking. My work has been featured by Samsung, Edible Communities, Seoulist, and the online culinary resources Honest Cooking and Feedfeed.
